New Owners at Willow Oak Ranch

Mike Boccio

Mike Boccio is currently a Building Inspector for the city of Antioch.  Prior to this, he was an owner of a successful contracting business for several years.  He has also been an avid team roper for the past 10 years and is a good, solid horseman.  His building skills in conjunction with horse knowledge will help transform Willow Oak into a luxurious facility for horses and their owners.

Jerri Boccio

Jerri Boccio works at Mt. Diablo Medical Center in Concord.  She has been a horse lover, owner, and rider her entire life.  Jerri’s medical know-how and her observations of horses makes her the perfect ‘back-up owner’ of your horse.  She quickly notes what the normal behavior of your horse is and notices right away when your horse deviates from that behavior.  Since signs of colic and ill-health usually start out subtlety, such as decreased appetite and depression, Jerri’s personal knowledge of each and every horse ensures that your horse’s symptoms will be noticed prior to it becoming a medical emergency.

Mike & Jerri’s oldest daughter, Melissa Garrick, is an Equine Science major at U.C. Davis.  Her courses in equine care, nutrition, physiology, and farrier science as well as her close association to several U.C. Davis equine veterinarians make her an excellent information resource for the horse owners of Willow Oak.  Melissa, her husband Jeff, and three sons (Trey, Jaden & Colten) are frequent visitors to the ranch and are often put to work by the slave-driving Mike.

Mike and Jerri’s son, Mike Carlson, is the technical advisor of Willow Oak Ranch.  He is employed by Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and will help us advance the technology of Willow Oak Ranch.  With maintaining a current website, Mike is a crucial part of our team.  Mike, his wife Michele, and their daughter Caralyne also visit the ranch often.

Mike and Jerri’s youngest daughter, Jessica, is considered the ranch stylist.  Trained by the Paul Mitchell affiliated San Francisco Institute of Esthetics and Cosmetology, Jess is currently operates her own Salon in Brentwood.  Not really horse or ranch related, but the woman is talented!  Just look at Jerri’s great hair…

And that’s our family!  We truly love each horse and respect every owner here.  We hope that the environment at Willow Oak Ranch will make you feel as if you and your horse are part of our family too, which you are!!
